About

A Life Rooted in Curiosity

I've never been very good at fitting into one box.

People often ask what I do, and the honest answer is that it depends on the day.

Some mornings you'll find me giving a holistic facial in Knoxville. Other days I'm teaching women to fly fish, leading youth into the outdoors, tending the garden, making herbal products, drumming up adventures with my husband, or writing stories about the ordinary moments that make up a meaningful life.

At first glance, those things may seem unrelated. To me, they've always belonged together.

I've always believed that the way we care for ourselves is connected to the way we care for our homes, our communities, and the natural world around us. Whether I'm helping someone find relief through a facial, watching a beginner catch her first trout, or sharing a simple meal made from the garden, I'm drawn to experiences that help people slow down and feel more present.

Nature has been my greatest teacher.

It has shown me that growth isn't rushed, that every season has something to offer, and that some of life's most meaningful moments happen quietly. Those lessons shape everything I create, from skincare rituals and workshops to outdoor adventures and the stories I share here.

This website has become a reflection of that life.

It's where I document the restoration of an old church (a very slow process), share recipes from our kitchen, write Field Notes from everyday adventures, offer holistic facials, teach workshops, and invite others to experience the outdoors with confidence and curiosity.

I'm not trying to build a perfectly curated life.

I'm simply paying attention to the one I'm already living.

If something here inspires you to step outside, plant a garden, care for your skin a little more gently, try fly fishing for the first time, or simply slow down for an afternoon, then I'm grateful our paths crossed.

Welcome. I'm glad you're here.

Seasonal Care, Rooted in Presence

I believe caring for yourself doesn't have to be complicated.

Some of the most meaningful rituals are also the simplest: slowing your breath, stepping outside, nourishing your skin, sharing a cup of tea, or taking an hour to simply rest.

My facial treatments are designed with that philosophy in mind. I blend holistic skincare with techniques like marma point therapy, botanical ingredients, and intentional touch to create an experience that calms the nervous system and supports your skin's natural ability to thrive.

Every treatment is personalized because no two people—or seasons—are exactly alike. My goal is for you to leave feeling not only refreshed, but more connected to yourself than when you arrived.

If you're looking for a place to slow down, you've found it.
